This is my informal art site, sort of a personal hang out spot beyond my fine arts life. I like to keep it light in my spare time. My name is lavonia, my friends call online call me Lavy or Von or some other nickname.

My 2007 photo. I'm really not a big personal "photo" person. I like to express how I see myself through art so I don't really bother with photos a lot. You can break my life up into the five senses. I really can't put it more eloquently, the part of my life I enjoy most consists of rotating senses.

Smell: Paint and solvents. Sharpie Markies. Fresh Coffee. The smell of the ocean and breeze coming off the lake. A My Little Pony fresh out of the package (reminds me of childhood), Fresh honeysuckle.

Sunset. Archaic trees with big knotted branches, a night's sky filled with stars. Lights on the lake at night.

Touch: My mouse and tablet pen, the texture of a painting or print, the feel of smooth stone, a hot bath, my curls on my face, a soft bed after a hard day's work, kittens, my favorite throw.

Taste: Sushi, Cheesecake, Sweettarts and gobstoppers, Miso soup, Crab rangoon, spring rolls, chicken fried rice and veggies, salads, flan!, coffee, fresh blackberries and other fresh fruits and veggies. Half and half, my breakfast food of choice.

Hear: A busy cafe. My fish tank running. The wood chimes next door. The leaves dancing in the wind. Video game midi files. Nobuo Uematsu, Enya, moody music. Footsteps shuffling. Laughter. Near perfect silence.
